Kathy Kramer grew up on a farm in Minnesota and moved to California's Central Valley with her family immediately after high school. She has lived most of her adult life in San Francisco and is retired after spending many years working as a document specialist in several San Francisco law firms. Kathy has a B.A. from Augustana College and an M.Div. from Luther-Northwestern Seminary (now Luther Seminary). She enjoys all of the cultural offerings in the Bay Area, with favorites being the SF Ballet and SF Silent Film Festival. She supports and is a member of the Hydrocephalus Association which is a national advocacy, educational, and support organization for children and adults with hydrocephalus and their families.

Kathy has been a director on ISCA's Board since 2009 and is particularly interested in housing and multi-use neighborhood issues. “Although I was raised in a rural area, I have come to love urban life. But while life in the City is joyful for so many of us, life in the City poses challenges and difficulties for others. I am pleased to be part of ISCA's mission to enable, encourage, and facilitate change for people who find themselves on the margins in the Bay Area.”
